Tablet PCs have a lot of features that are useful for the usage with MusicReader:

annotate on the screen by using a special pen
turn pages by touching the screen with your finger
(on selected systems)

We recommend you to choose a system based on these criteria:

screen size / resolution
pen / touch
battery size
weight and type of system

The following table shows a comparison of the most common Tablet PCs:

Size:

Screen size in inches, determines the size in which the sheet music will be displayed.
12" is large enough for displaying sheet music, smaller screens are not recommended.

Resol.
Pixels:

Resolution of the screen: SXGA (1400x1050) and WXGA(1280x800)
have a better resolution then XGA (1024x768)
The screen can be 4:3 (normal) or 16:10/16:9 (widescreen).

Pen/ Touch:

Digitizer pen for operating the screen (Pen).
Touchscreen - Finger and pen can be used to operate these screen. (Touch)

Battery:

More cells are recommended, have a longer battery life.
Actual battery life also depends on the system usage.
Some systems can have an optional additional battery.

Type:

Convertables are "normal" laptops with a rotating screen
(the keyboard is hidden behind the screen)
Slates are screen-only devices without a keyboard attached.
Slates are in general thinner and lighter then convertables

Weight:

Weight of the device in lbs and kg - actual weight can differ depending
on actual configuration.

Price:

Starting price of this model.
