Beta Release

The next generation MusicReader is coming and you can already try it!
This new release contains many big improvements in both functionality and user interface.
Also the App is now built on the latest technology, which makes it more reliable, faster, and fully ready for the future.

With the links below you can install the beta on your systems.
This will install it next to the current MusicReader, so you can use both releases.

Before Installation

1. Sync your current MusicReader before installing the beta.
   That ensures latest version of your music is downloaded when the beta App is set up.
2. Do you have a large library?
   Then make sure your system has enough free space as beta release will use a second copy of your library.
   Inside "Account" you can check the size of your library, this is shown under the "Statistics" tab.

Important Notes

• Beta and current App cannot be running at the same time, you need close one before running the other one.
  One App will malfunction if you have them both running at the same time.
  Be aware that you need to explicitly close the App, otherwise it will still run in background.
• You need to sync the beta and current release to make sure they get each others changes.

• Press the help button inside the App - you get a special form for the beta.

• Please do not use the generic forms / addresses, unless you clearly put "BETA" prefix in the subject line.

FAQ

What is a beta release?
This version is released to do a test with real users before launch, to resolve the last bugs.
This to ensure that everything is working correctly, before releasing it to all users.

Can I use the beta for performances? Is it stable enough?
In our own usage the beta was stable, but still there could be some bugs left in specific situations.
So we recommend to first fully test it during your rehearsals, and when that is also stable for you then you could decide to use it for performances. Do you notice an issue? Then please report it so we can resolve it.

Why is the beta a separate App?
This to allow you to test the beta App before actually switching, and let you switch between beta App and "old" App if needed.

Why am I getting blank screen on startup of MusicReader?
This is caused by the other MusicReader App running in the background.
Please explicitly close both MusicReader Apps and then start only one of them.
